SCHOOL IS IN.
School bands, academic clubs, sport teams, they all need a good fundraiser whether for the school yearbook, new computers or the uniforms and equipment used during a game. Lapel pins are collectible and an inexpensive way to generate funds for any school program. Feature the school’s mascot as a pin on a printed card and raise money for team sports, a senior pin to raise funds for the prom, Greek letters for sororities and fraternities or alumni. In the image of a school mascot, school letters or logo, what student or faculty member wouldn’t love to show off their school pride with a simple pin for their sweaters, jackets or backpacks? Attach the pin to a card which becomes great medium for the larger message - a football schedule, players names and numbers, a school goal, description of a cause, fun facts about “famous alumni”, etc. Together, the pin and card, make the perfect fundraiser! This neat idea is a great way to kick off the school year when sports and school spirit are in high gear!
Choose from many processes and sizes to fit any budget. Works for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools and even colleges. |

DRAWSTRING BAG
We call it our Shoe-In-Bag (#A156), used by golfers for their cleats after a game of golf. We think it has a lot more potential than that. This 12” x 16” non-woven water resistant bag has a simple drawstring that pulls from one side. It makes a great bag for the orientations and seminars young students will be attending during the summer before they go off to college.
Literature, housing forms, and welcome gifts/stickers can all be tucked inside one of these less traditional tote bags. The gift can be put to good use later on in the year too when students can turn them into laundry bags. |

MAKE IT POP
"The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet." – Aristotle
To make learning less “bitter” it is important to help keep education fun! Whether they are learning their three R’s, a lesson in fire safety or drug resistance programs, or even sports and afterschool programs, keep them interested and involved. The National Education Association’s “Read Across America” is March 2, Dr. Seuss’s b-day. A great opportunity for libraries and book stores to get kids involved. Give the child a pin when they buy or select a book to read. But any educational program - Earth Day, National History Day, World Health Day, or just your basic lesson in geometry – are educational opportunities to let children have fun. Lapel pins can show levels of achievement or program completetion, and trading and collecting of pins are only 2nd behind baseball cards.
Once you have their attention, then keep it, by creating a pin that is extraordinary. Add a punch of colorful PVC to a lapel pin. The PVC adds a 3D effect to your lapel pin, makes it multi-dimensional and makes the pin “POP”. The fun custom shapes and bright colors of the lapel pins and PVC combined demand attention and will not go unnoticed which is undeniably important when you are working with an attention span of the younger "Y" or "Z" generation. |

TIME TO FACE REALITY
Once the fraternity parties, homecoming games and spring flings are all over, it’s time to find a job. Reality is quite an adjustment, take it from someone that went to a very large, very fun university (Univ. of Delaware ’88). However, it turns out that the moola you just dropped on an education, also entitles you to services that will help steer you through that initial shock. Most universities and colleges have a Career Services department that host “Career Days”, “Job or Internship Fairs”. Here, students try to expand their network of employer contacts and learn about professional openings and career-related opportunities. And well, Avaline has a few products just for the occasion.
A Human Resource department of a participating company can present themselves to top candidates in a sleek yet stylish way. Keep it organized and professional by putting company information, job applications and current career opportunities in these colorful polystring envelopes. Sturdy with an expandable 1" gusset. University wants to help their students out? Offer them this Back to Basics tote. An easy way for students to carry and collect information all day long. Available in 26 colors, no doubt we have their school color. |

NATIONAL TEACHER'S DAY
We all have one - a favorite. One that has either inspired us, enlightened us, straightened us out, or was just plain fun to look at. Dan, our sales rep’s favorite was Miss Hanna, eighth grade, because her love for Star Trek was only surpassed by his own. Mine was Mrs. Murphy, sixth grade, who, believe it or not, taught us the Dewey decimal system using a “godfather” analogy. Unforgettable. It is teachers like these that shape the minds of our children daily and play a crucial role in their development. They are required to continually nurture young minds, while promoting self discipline and individuality, many times under less than perfect circumstances. Where would we be without them? To focus national attention on the contributions teachers make daily, a week (May 7-13) has been set aside to recognize these important people and celebrate the great things that are being accomplished in schools. Tuesday, MAY 9th, has been designated “National Teacher’s Day”.
Think of how many schools there are, and how many teachers nationwide we need to recognize. In honor of these dedicated professionals, Avaline has created a fun bookmark, extra special for those who got us interested in our first books. A beautifully polished gold plated bookmark with a colorful, fun emblematic charm. Alone or paired with an incredible book, this gift of appreciation will mark their pages for years. Use our design or create your own charm with a school logo or mascot or some other fun education icon. The book charms are only $3.50 (P) for 100 pieces, with a 3 week lead time. If creating a custom piece, just add $100.00 (V) for the die charge and choose any emblematic jewelry process from the Avaline catalog. |
