VETERAN’S DAY – NOVEMBER 11TH
Once called Armistice Day, November 11th, the anniversary of the end of World War I at 11:00 a.m., November 11th, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month), officially became a holiday in the United States in 1926. In 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honor all U.S. veterans. Today, observances at the town, state and national level - parades, ceremonies, public services both religious and secular, are held every year on November 11th to honor those who served their country. Whether it’s a fundraiser, token of appreciation, or a souvenir of a ceremony, Avaline’s stock patriotic pins, bracelets and declaration rings make a perfect memento.
Why not suggest an inexpensive lapel pin to those organizations that help raise money or recognize the importance of our Veterans; Veteran's Day Parade, the American Legion, the Veteran's Hospitals, Military Officer's Association of America and the Army Navy Union USA. Or events like the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival, National Veterans Golden Age Games and the National Veterans Winter Sports Clinic are held annually too and are great avenues for patriotic items. Put the stock pin on a card (as shown at left) and make the message extra special. |

A BOBBLING VICTORY – Case history
A client was looking for a pin or button to give away as she campaigned for her Vice Chair position at a 4 day conference. At first the prospect of having herself immortalized as a bobble head pin was daunting, however after a little convincing the candidate decided it was worth a try.
The bobble head pin, a colorful and wonderful likeness, proved to be exactly what the candidate needed. The initial reaction to the pin was enough to make voters stop and talk to her, and when it came time to cast the ballots, it was hard to forget the face that was attached to their own lapel. Needless to say, the client was elected to the Vice Chair position. |
