Hundreds of “cubby’s”stored the bottles with a small shelf that showed off the selection. Three sommeliers were the hired clerks and were so knowledgable that it made it hard to leave. I found out that my favorite, Reisling, has three levels of sweetness. Who knew? I finally left a wine store knowing that I was going to really enjoy my purchase. As I hurried home, I pictured fresh grilled salmon over argula and a lemony orzo, accompanying a tall glass. Mouth watering, I stepped out of my car and grabbed the paper bag the bottle was in……SMASH.Nooooo! I stood, looking down and couldn’t believe my relaxing night had just ended up in a million pieces on my driveway. The paper bag from the store had given under the weight of the bottle. Well I plan on visiting the store again, and believe me I am going to suggest to them that they put their customers purchases in Avaline’s non-woven wine totes A151. An upscale wine store like that needs a better bag. Imagine if it was a $40-$50.00 bottle? And it’s a bag the customer would end up using again and again and again.
